i ask because i just got back from south america on a tour, i visited paraguay, brazil and argentina

the people over there look like mostly white people or some other mixes but none look really like porto ricans or mexicans which is what we have in the usa.

i was wondering, becing their culture so different is it ok to call them latinos?

shouldnt that term just be for people of mexican or porto rican or central american races which resemble each other more?
im sort of confused, thats why
