My friend and I are planning a trip to explore and discover the entirety of South America. We’re going to every country and we really have no idea of what to expect. Here’s some basic questions we have:

Is it safe for two girls to travel alone? We want to be really spontaneous and play it by ear – is that feasible? How accessible is shelter, food, public transportation? Etc. Basically any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!
