have family friends from I believe Liberia and there, they look down on “african americans” and I honestly dont know if it is the same there. I **** the fact that its like that but I want to know before I go. thanks

I am thinking about travelling to Brazil next year summer by doing volunteering work with (I to I organisation) or any other travel abroad organisation. But since I don’t know much information about the country, I wanted some useful information. I think I am mostly like to travel on my own and I would explore the country on my own. This would be the first time I am travelling on my own. I might choose to volunteer in a community work, or teach English but I am thinking about doing volunteering work in Rio De Janeiro.
I also wanted some advice if it is safe travelling to the Amazon River and taking a tour there but I am not sure if I will have the time. Plus is there any good place that I should visit.
